A lot of us have dreams that don’t include our current job. This is not a result of opportunity refusing to knock, but simply because we haven’t been diligent in pursuing our dreams. Proverbs 12:24 reads, “the hand of the diligent will rule but the slack hand will be put to force labor.” The person who is not diligent in pursuing their soulful desires will have a job description that they don’t want!
Growing up in church, I thought the preacher couldn’t read, because he had his own personal reader. The preacher always seemed upset, because he’d let his reader know it was time to read by yelling, “READ IT!” Maybe he was upset because he misplaced his bible & no one would help him look it. 🤷🏽♂️
Why is it that we don’t reach our dreams or satisfy our “Soul Cravings?” Why is it that some of us find ourselves in the same spot week after week, month after month, or even year after year. If we set New Year resolutions we’ve fallen back into our routine or normalcy & mediocrity by month 3, if not 2.

I know I do. I’m ashamed to say it, but it’s been seven years that I’ have had the desire to write a few books. And to this day, I don’t have any manuscripts close to being finished.
